Ellie’s Corporate Army

Every business everywhere is in need of hope.
Every customer and each member of staff needs to connect, feel camaraderie, look beyond crisis and into the future knowing they are part of something special.

Childvision is inviting you, and your teams, and your customers, to join Ellie this Christmas and be just that. Not a medical army, which Ellie had faced on her arrival to the world, but an army of hope.

Neither Hollie or Ronan, Ellie’s parents, knew how to face into a world of sight-loss and albinism or how to interact with their baby girl.

With the help of the intervention specialists, therapists, orientation/mobility teachers and social care teams at ChildVision, they began to find a path to give Ellie the best tools for life.

Donation Total: €2,500.00

Meet Ellie – the inspiration for our Littlest Learner appeal. The schools are open, but our little learners need more support than others re-opening in Covid times. We need to be there for them, helping them make sense of the world, and reaching for the stars, despite their special needs.

Your Impact

Each €1,000 could help support two children with multiple disabilities and visual impairment by providing them with access to sepcially-adapted iPad minis.

Each €2,500 could help fund a full year of equine therapy for four children with visual impairment and complex needs. Equine therapy has proven therapeutic benefits on the physical, emotional and mental health of children with disabilities, impacting their lives significantly where other clinical settings have not.

Each €10,000 could help fund vital psychology services to help young and older children and their families to cope with sight loss and the transitions throughout their young lives. These are not funded by government and access to this support has helped provide hope and clarity on possibilities to families like Ellie’s and helps their progress, connection and engagement.
